Built by an Australian/Thai Team in Thailand, this new high speed aluminium catamaran has shown excellent results at sea trails in the Gulf of Thailand. This 12.3 Metre Power Cat named ‘Blue Anda 121′ is powered by four Suzuki 250 H.P. Four Stroke Outboard Engines, giving a top speed of over 40 knots and a fully loaded speed of 38 knots with 35 passengers.
The sophisticated fuel system includes 3 off 200ltr aluminium fabricated separate fuel tanks for each hull giving a range of over 300 Nautical Miles at 25 knots. The fuel tanks are situated below deck in a fully ventilated compartment with Vetus vents, fans and stainless steel grills. The compartments have vapor detectors with alarms at the helm.
This new power cat is a charter vessel set up to do day trips in coastal water operations. The seating is custom made by the builder and are fully fabricated bench types with cushions, trays, tables and hand rests. The seating is configured in a back to back arrangement with lightweight honeycomb tables between them allowing for dining in comfort during rough trips. The deck layout also has a small galley forward and large central table midships aft’.
The aft’ deck has a fold down platform which can be used for both beach landing and as a snorkeling/dive platform at sea. The platform is attached to a fixed platform which extends out past the outboards. This is complemented by three fresh water shower units, one overhead plus one recessed unit each side. Beside the platform is an aft’ toilet compartment which is full size and a nice change from the cramped set ups of similar vessels of this size.
On board white goods include flat screen T.V.s, with live streaming GPS navigation and DVD entertainment, plus stereo sound system and Bosh speakers. Also a 4 stage CCTV system for safety and security reasons.
Speed, comfort, fuel economy and other operational options such as day cruise, dive boat, evening cruises, party boat, ferry, etc all add to the perfect large outboard driven catamaran.
