Eclipse was launched in 2006 and is now operating as part of the fleet at Calypso Cruises in Port Douglas. Launched in June 2006, this wide body style catamaran achieved a top speed of 27.5 knots at sea trials. This vessel is extremely econimical using 75 litres per hour, cruising at 20 knots on its delivery run from Brisbane to Port Douglas.
She has been designed to provide very comfortable accommodation for dive charters with very low maintainance. With a hydraulic dive platform, which can be lowered into the water and allows the dingy to be lifted out of the water when underway.
The interiors are very low maintainance and this roomy vessel provides a number of group dive preparation areas.
